In Maluku fish, shrimp, and forest products are the main exports. Timber, sawn boards and assorted wood products, cajeput oil, dammar (a type of resin), and rattan are the principal products of forestry sector. However, the regions’ economy still driven by the agriculture sector including rice, corn (maize), coconut, spices (cloves and nutmeg), cocoa, coffee, and cashews. Crafts also observed in the regions with the products such as wood carving, silver and gold filigree work, bracelets, rings, and handloom weaving.
