Every year, Presidential Awards are given internationally to the scholars in Sanskrit and classical languages Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Odia by Government of India. Under this, one international award of ‘Certificate of Honour’ to non-resident Indian or person of non-Indian origin with outstanding contribution in the field of Sanskrit and two international awards (one each for person of Indian and non-Indian origin) in each of the classical languages Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Odia are given. Each award would carry a grant of Rs. 5.00 Lakh.
2. Interested candidates may submit their applications to the Consulate by 10 April 2021 along with their detailed resume, synopsis (not more than two pages) of their published books/journals/research papers related to the particular language. Copies of five best publications of the applicant should also be enclosed with the application.
